- Description
- This specification established the requirement for a test stand to be located at Anniston Army Depot, Anniston, Alabama designed, fabricated, and installed by the contractor with all functions and capabilities as delineated herein. The contractor shall pr ovide the resources necessary to design, manufacture, program, install, calibrate and demonstrate the functional operation of one (1) turret hydraulic power distribution valve assembly directs the flow and controls the pressure of hydraulic fluid in the tu rret of the M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank. The assembly provides power to the gun/turret drive system and the ammo door actuator in response to electrical signals. The test stand shall be fully-automated, and computer controlled for data acquisition and p osition control functions. All parameters including hydraulic flow, pressure, electrical excitation and output shall be measured automatically. The test stand shall require minimal operator intervention once the appropriate test has been selected from a menu. Upon completion of the testing sequence, formatted data printout shall be issued to a printer. A menu selected self-test shall be provided to test all power supplies, voltages and circuits. The test stand shall have a panel to allow manual control , and a panel to enable the operator to take manual measurements shall additional data be required for troubleshooting the turret hydraulic power distribution valve assembly. The test stand shall be capable of functional testing the following turret hydraulic power distribution valve(s)in accordance with paragraphs 4.1.4 through 4.2.1.11.4 of attached product function specification SC-X17727D dated 21 June 1982: Ordnance part numbers 9376467, 9376467-1, 9376467-2, 9376467-3. The test stand shall be installed at Anniston Army Depot, Anniston, Alabama by contractor This solicitation is UNRESTRICTED. North American Industrial Classification System is 33415. Size standard is 500 employees. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c), therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Estimated issue date is 21 Jan 01. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obt ain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejections of same.
