Description

This acquisition falls under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures, over $25K and under $50k. This acquisition is unrestricted. The U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Public Information, has a requirement for the following services. Provide news clippings (supplied by the contractor and clipped from publications and containing all graphics and photographs) from same day newspapers and major business publications throughout the United States for twelve (12) months following award. Actual clipping from publications required, TRANSCRIPTS (electronic or other) ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. These clippings shall be customized to select articles of interest to the Department of Energy, using key words and/or phrases (subject to change at any time) and be delivered via facsimile prior to 9:30a.m., Eastern Standard Time (EST) each workday. Transmissions are not required on weekends or Federal holidays, however, these clippings must be received prior to 9:30 a.m. EST the following Monday. It is known that most newspa pers are not available until 1:00 to 2:00 am, and in some cases later. In these cases, the following morning is acceptable. Over sixty (60) publications across the United States are required to be monitored each day the publication is published (a listing of newspapers, news magazines, keywords and key phrases will be listed in the Request for Quotation (RFQ). Past experience in providing the service requested is essential and must be demonstrated prior to award. All interested parties shall email their address to Ms. Melissa Dent by the due date of this notice.
