Description

ISSUE DATE: 12/17/01. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, and disposal necessary to make various waterfront repairs at the U.S. Coast Guard Station Eatons Neck, Northport, New York. The work includes providing new pile caps for 11 timber piles, replacing timber chocks at 6 locations on a timber bulkhead, providing a new 8 X 10 timber wale attached with helical tie back anchors along a 126 foot long section of an existing timber bulkhead, providing new 3 X 10 timber diagonal bracing at 4 bents under the existing timber pier replacing the steel channel at the top of a 174 foot long section of a steel sheet pile bulkhead, recoating the upper 7 feet of the sheet piling for the same 174 foot long section, repairing a hole in the steel sheet piling located 2 feet below the mean low water line, providing additional rip rap stone behind the steel sheet pile bulkhead, providing additional clean fill behind the timber bulkhead, and other related work. This project is issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and is unrestricted.
