Description
The proposed contract listed here is unrestricted. Standard industrial code is 1711, size standard is $11.5 All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a quote, which shall be considered by the Agency. Total estimated construction value per project is between $5,000,000.00 and $15,000,000.00. The Government intends to make up to seven (7) multiple awards from this solicitation. Evaluation factors below will used during evaluation process, but are not listed in order of importance: Technical Approach; Past Experience and Past Performance. The central heating plant replacements are generally turnkey type, consisting of the removal of large built-in-place fire-tube boiler systems, and replacing them with smaller multiple cast-iron-sectional boiler systems. The majority of the plants are low-pressure steam. The Contractor shall be responsible to identify, design and abate areas of hazardous materials, demolish existing under a negative pressure dust filtration system, monitor/record health-safety by aggressive air sampling during demolition, design and provide replacement central heating plants meeting the specified requirements. In addition, the Contractor shall perform general maintenance service, replace/add new isolation/control valves and traps/strainers on each terminal unit (i.e. radiators, fan coils, unit heaters, air handlers, etc.) within each school, chemically flush clear the distribution lines, and return the system back into operational status prior to start of the heating season. Work shall not interrupt potable cold/hot water nor the owner's operation of any existing chilled water plant between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday, during regular and summer school sessions, excluding holidays. The Contractor shall provide spare parts, O&M documentation, as-builts, posted bulletins/labeling, testing, system demonstration, training and one year O&M service on a monthly basis.
