Description

The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS), 3601 S. 6th Ave., Tucson, AZ 85723, intends to negotiate a sole source commercial service contract with Johnson Controls, Inc., 2101 N. Forbes Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85745, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302. The contract shall provide for maintenance and repair service of the SAVAHCS' Facility Energy Management System (FEMS) consisting of three separate generations of components manufactured by Johnson Controls, JC 80/30, JC 85/40, and Metasys. The contract shall be for the period of 1/1/02 -- 12/31/02 to provide continued FEMS maintenance and repair coverage as the SAVAHCS transitions to an Energy Savings Performance Contract with Johnson Controls. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals, which may be faxed to (520) 629-1817 or e-mailed, no later than close of business on 12/21/01. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
