- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is soliciting proposals for the award of multiple indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contracts for the purchase of childhood vaccines included under the Vaccines For Children (VFC) program, pursuant to, Section 13631 of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993 (OBRA '93). CDC anticipates the award of one consolidated contract to each vaccine manufacturer to include all vaccines required by the VFC program which the manufacturer produces. The applicable VFC vaccines are: Diphtheria and Tetanus Toxoid with Acellular Pertussis (DTaP), Combination Diphtheria and Tetanus Toxoid with Acellular Pertussis and Haemophilus Influenza Type b (DTaP/Hib), Enhanced Inactivated Polio-virus (E-IPV), Hepatitis A Pediatric, Hepatitis B Pediatric/Adolescent (Ages 0-18), Hepatitis B (2-Dose Regimen) for Adolescents Ages 11-15, Combination Hepatitis A and B Adult (Age 18 only), Combination Hepatitis B and Haemophilus Influenzae Type b, Haemophilus Influenzae Type b, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Combination Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR II), Pneumococcal Conjugate (7 Valent) and Varicella. Maximum estimated quantities, minimum order sizes, shelf life requirements and applicable price restrictions will be listed in the solicitation. Vaccines shall be shipped F.O.B. Destination to the 50 states and U.S. Territories. Contracts shall be for a twelve month period beginning o/a 4/1/02. Offerors must provide evidence of a current FDA establishment license and evidence of current FDA product licenses for all proposed products and must meet the definition of a manufacturer as stipulated by OBRA '93.
