DSCP GENERAL and INDUSTRIAL VENDORS (DSCP G&I) IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING THE PROCUREMENT AUTOMATED CONTRACT EVALUATION (PACE) System. This program, which was implemented on April 9, 2001, will be expanding over the next several months. This program will be initiated for most threaded fasteners on December 15, 2001. (FSCs 5305, 5306, 5307, 5310 5330 and 5331) You can review the complete implementation schedule at http://progate.daps.mil/home/include/help/ to determine when your FSCs will be affected. Solicitations with a "T" in the ninth position of the solicitation number, i.e., SP0500-02-T-XXXX, are candidates for automated award by PACE provided that the dollar value of the acquisition is estimated at $10,000 or below; the solicitation terms are f.o.b. destination; and none of the exclusions listed apply. The excluded items are Surplus, Flight Safety Critical, Life Support, Source Control, Qualified Product List (QPL), those that require First Article or other special testing, and acquisitions under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program. All DSCP excluded items will be evaluated and awarded manually. Timely electronic quotes submitted by responsible vendors meeting the terms and conditions as stated in the Simplified Purchase Agreement (SPA) and in the Request For Quotation (RFQ) shall be considered for award. QUOTES ON THESE DSCP G&I PACE SOLICITATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED VIA THE INTERNET QUOTING SYSTEM (IQS). All other types of quotes will not be considered.
