SOLICITATION FOR CONCESSION CONTRACT TO PROVIDE FLOAT TRIPS, FISHING TRIPS AND HORSEBACK RIDES IN GRAN TETON NATIONAL PARK

- The National Park Service intends to issue a Prospectus for renewal of 11 concession contracts to provide for guided float trips, fishing trips and horseback rides in Grand Teton National Park. The term of the contracts is seven years. Each contract has a different number of allocated launches per day for float trips and fishing trips. Only two contracts are authorized to provide guided horseback rides. No government-owned facilities or structures will be assigned in the park for use by these concessioners. No capital investment is required during the new contracts. Any Offeror that is selected as a new concessioner is not obligated to purchase any personal property (equipment, merchandise and supplies) of the existing concessioners. The existing concesion permits between the National Park Service and the existing concessioners expire by limitation of time on December 31, 2001. The Director, pursuant to 36 CFR Part 51, has determined that these are qualified concession contracts and, therefore, the existing concessioners are preferred Offerors for the new contracts. Any offer, including that of the existing concessioners, must be received in the Business Resources Division (IMR-CM), National Park Service, Intermountain Region, P. O. Box 25287, Denver, CO 80225-0287 (Federal Express address: 12795 W. Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, CO 80228), no later than sixty (60) days after the date of publication of this notice in order to be evaluated and considered for an award of a concession contract to provide the authorized guided activities. EFFECTIVE DATE: The Prospectus will be issued for a 60 day response period under the terms described in the Prospectus, with proposal due on January 28, 2002, no later than 4:00 p.m. There is a reprinting cost recovery charge of $35 per copy to be delivered via Federal Express or $30 per copy if picked up in person. Checks or money order (no cash accepted) must be payable to the National Park Service and you must include a business address (no post office box) to receive a Federal Express package.
