Description
The Regional Contracting Office, Southwest is issuing this sources sought synopsis for the office products, computer accessories, copier paper and janitorial supplies. The Government's need is to purchase these products on a continuous basis, through a consignment inventory and on a buy-on-demand basis. The ability of the contractor to meet the Government's demands for a "just in time" inventory concept is the primary focus of this contract. Delivery Orders will be issued under this contract on an "as required" basis. It is anticipated this procurement will be a base year with four one year options. The Government contemplates a firm fixed price type procurement. The solicitation will be divided into lots by commodity, allowing for a single award of all lots or multiple single lot awards, to the offeror whose offer is the most advantageous to the Government. The NAIC codes are 4122120 (size standard is 500 employees), 421430 (size standard is 500 employees), 322121 (size standard is 750 employees), and 421850 (size standard is 500 employees). The Industry Forum will be held on January 7, 2002 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. beginning with a formal presentation by the Government at the South Mesa Club aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. All visitors are required to check in with security at the base's main gate. After the Government presentation, contractors will be given an opportunity to formulate questions for the Government and a one hour question and answer session will be held to discuss the Government's requirement. Contractor's should be prepared to present introductory information on their corporate capabilities and experience. The Government hopes to promote an exchange of ideas and concerns with regard to various means of accomplishing the requirements of the Government. Contractors are asked to limit participation to no more than 3 people per company. Contractor's interested in attending the forum must provide name, company, phone number, email address, and desired number of attendees to Ms. Patty Langdon at 760.725.8131 or via email at langdonpl@pendleton.usmc.mil no later than December 20, 2001. A draft solicitation will be provided to all attendees prior to the forum. This invitation to participate in the Industry Forum does not constitute a request for proposal. The information presented in this announcement will not obligate the Government in any manner. The Government will not reimburse the attendees for any cost associated with participation and is under no obligation to award any related contract/agreement associated with this event.
