- SYNOPSIS: The work consists of furnishing all necessary labor, tools, materials, and equipment to install a dry pipe fire protection system for the living quarters, renovate and update heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, and related electrical and architectural work. The work is located at U. S. Coast Guard Station Georgetown, South Carolina. There is a $20.00 charge for the bid package. Make the check payable to U. S. Coast Guard. All bid requests must be in writing. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for HUBZone Small Business concerns. Offers received that are not from qualified HUBZone Small Business concerns shall not be considered and shall be rejected. HUBZone Small Business concerns that replied to the pre-solicitation notice publicized on 12 July 2001, need not respond again. All other interested HUBZone Small Business concerns should send a written letter with check to the Miami, Florida address. Any small business concern stating that it is a certified HUBZone Small Business concern, shall be prepared to provide a copy of its HUBZone certificate issued by the SBA upon request. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 235110, with a three-year average annual receipts small business size standard of $11.5 million. Bid guarantee, payment, and performance bonds are required. The estimated dollar value of this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The contract performance time is 110 calendar days. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. DOT?s Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000.00. DOT?s Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $500,000.00 with interest at the prime rate.
