Description

The Naval Aviation Depot at the Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, NC has a requirement for a full service maintenance contract on 5 each Canon NP 700 Aperture Card Printers. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. A quotation is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number M00146-02-Q-N018 is hereby issued as a Request for Quotation. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-23 and Defense Acquisition Circular 98-24. This acquisition is unrestricted and is under the North American Industry Classification System code 811212, with a small business size standard of $18.0. This requirement is for a firm fixed priced contract. Full service maintenance contract on five Canon NP 700 Aperture Card Printers. To include unlimited service calls during normal working hours on an (On Call Basis), all Parts and Labor. Excluded from the parts are consumable items such as lamps and drums. These parts shall be covered under a separate line item. The contractor shall perform a preventive maintenance visit anytime during normal working hours, if the end user feels the machine needs to be cleaned and adjusted. The Maintenance Services Specialist will be responsible for contacting the service representative on any emergency calls. The period of performance for this maintenance contract will be 01 January 2002 through 31 December 2002. This equipment is located at the Naval Aviation Depot, MCAS, Cherry Point, NC. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this Request for Quotation to the technically acceptable, responsive, responsible offeror based on price alone. The following clauses and provisions are incorporated and are to remain in full force in any resultant purchase order: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offers -- Commercial Items (Mar 2000). FAR 52.212-3 Alternate I, Offer Representation and Certifications-Commercial Items (Oct 1998), a completed copy of this provision shall be submitted with the offer. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items (May 1999). FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items (Aug 2000), to include clauses (11) (12) (13) (14) (15) (16) (21) (24) and (26). DFARS 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration (Mar 1998). DARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items (DEC 2000), applies with the following clauses applicable for paragraph (b); DFARS 252.206-7000, Domestic Source Restriction; DFARS 252.225-7001, Buy American Act and Balance of Payment Program; and DFARS 252.225-7012, Preference for Certain Domestic Commodities. DFARS 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration. DFARS 252.225-7000 Buy American Act-Balance of Payments Program Certificate. The request for quote is to be priced FOB DESTINATION FAR 52.247-34. Request for quote must be received no later than 3:oo PM, local time, 17 December 2001.
