Description

The Presidio Trust, a Federal government corporation, is soliciting bids from qualified firms to perform the concrete construction portions of the seismic strengthening of Building 102, a historic 1890s unreinforced brick masonry building located in the Presidio of San Francisco. The Presidio is a National Park and a National Historic Landmark. Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, submittals and special inspections to construct shotcrete and cast-in-place reinforced concrete shearwalls, including new foundations and chimney underpinning, selective demolition of concrete and stone foundations and slabs, footing excavations, epoxy doweling into stone, masonry and concrete, in accordance with plans and specifications. Tentative start date January 2002. Period of Performance is approximately 200 calendar days. Estimated cost between $100,000.00 and $500,000.00. Minimum qualifications include: valid California Contractor's License and current insurance coverage in the amounts required by the Trust. Davis Bacon Act (U.S. Dept. of Labor prevailing wage rates) applies.
