Description

VA VISN 22 Network Business Center intends to negotiate a COMMERCIAL ITEM (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with GE Medical Systems for the Sepulveda Ambulatory and Nursing Home Center, 16111 Plummer Street, North Hills, CA 91343-2036, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-27. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition is being prepared in support of this acquisition. This procurement is to obtain a 30-Month Lease-to-Own Agreement for a Lunar Piximus II System for small animal (mice) bone densitometry. Minimum requirements are: High Precision Small Animal Bone Densitometer that does not require separate computer workstations or shielding. The Government intends to award a firm, fixed-price contract for a 30-Month Lease-to-Own Agreement for the Lunar Piximus II System. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a proposal. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The applicable NAICS code is 532490 with a size standard of $5 million. All proposals received by 3:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time, December 9, 2001, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
