Description

17. Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to modify sole source Basic Ordering (BOA) N00024-01-G-5241 with Raytheon Company, Electronic Systems, Naval and Maritime Integrated Systems of 1847 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871-1087 to extend the ordering period for one year from the current expiration date of 14 January 2002. The BOA provides for the placement of orders covering design agent and technical engineering services with support under the AN/SPS-73 Radar Program. Services shall include analysis and design engineering for resolution of program obsolete parts issues, resolution of reliability and maintainability issues, studies of equipment upgrades, design support during engineering changes and alterations of AN/SPS-73 Radar Systems. Raytheon is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and the sole producer of the AN/SPS-73 (V) Radar System. Therefore, no oth er firm possesses the technical expertise necessary to perform the work required by the Government. The modification will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1).
