Description

This Request for Proposal (RFP) is for the drydocking service craft overhaul of the PSNS Barge -- Beluga. This solicitation is a small business set-aside under the NAIC of 336611. The RFP will be issued on or about 13 December 2001. Proposals will be due on or about 15 January 2002. Sources who currently hold, or are qualified for and willing to enter into an Agreement for Boat Repair/Master Ship Repair Agreement (ABR/MSRA) in accordance with DFARS 217.71 prior to award, may submit a proposal which shall be considered by this agency. Firms who do not possess either an ABR or MSRA are ineligible for award unless adequate time exists to permit an assessment of the ABR/MSRA application and to execute the ABR/MSRA agreement(s) without impacting the vessel's availability dates. The work includes, but is not limited to: drydocking, full exterior blast/preservation, and zinc replac ement and incidental related work. There will be two Option CLINS: including the blast/preservation of three internal tanks, and full interior blast/preservation. The Government may unilaterally exercise the above two Option CLINS within 5 calendar days of job order award. The RFP, when issued, will be available for downloading from the Navy's electronic commerce site www.neco.navy.mil.
