Description

The Contracts Department of the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego, intends to procure the coordination, equipment, labor, management, materials, supervision, supplies, tools, and transportation necessary to accomplish repair services on transportation equipment for the Navy Public Works Center, San Diego. Repair services include mostly autobody repair and paint but are not limited to minor repairs to body, corrosion, control, fenders, frames, trim, glass, hardware, lubrication, markings, operating fluids, and truck beds/racks. All repairs accomplished on Government vehicles will be transported via a contractor provided pick-up and delivery service. It is anticipated that the potential contractor will accept the Government Commercial Purchase Card. The Contractor shall propose a labor rate for the inspections and repairs. All materials that are required during minor repairs shall be subject to the discounts stated in the contract. A fixed price, indefinite quantity type contract with a base period plus two, one-year options is anticipated. This is an unrestricted procurement, all responsible sources may submit an offer. Each offeror must also submit commercial catalogs containing the requested and other related items, with government discounts. Anticipated award date is 1 February 2001. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted by 07 December 2001on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link: http://www.neco.navy.mil. The NECO web site can also be accessed by going through the FISC-SD web link listed below. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to independently review the referenced web links frequently for updates to any and all documents. The solicitation will be issued with the anticipation of obta ining current pricing and parts information for all CLINs listed. All prospective offerors are cautioned that in the event the Government is unable to determine price reasonableness based on the offers received and market analysis, the Government will not issue a contract. This decision is solely the decision and right of the Government. All efforts performed and all cost expended by prospective offerors in providing information requested by the solicitation are not subject to reimbursement by the Government. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). The Government does not anticipate paper copies of these documents to be issued.
