- Description
- The following requirement was previously synopsized in the April 20, 2001 and November 19,2001 issues of the Commerce Business Daily and is being reissued herein. The Naval Research Laboratory has a requirement for research, engineering, and technical support for basic and applied physics programs involving the design, construction, and operations of systems; computer personnel for hardware maintenance, data acquisition, analysis, and experiment simulation; and technical personnel to assemble, operate, and maintain experimental hardware. In addition, the contractor shall provide short-term employees or consultants in the categories above to meet the varying demands of the research programs. Tasks include planning and performing research, providing engineering and technical support for the research in progress, assisting in data acquisition and analysis, and the design, acquisition, and progress, and assembly of hardware associated with the research. Offerors must have demonstrated experience and demonstrated ability to provide qualified personnel in performing the specified tasks. The Government anticipates an award of a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) Term contract. Personnel proposed to work on the resultant contract shall have at least a Secret clearance or shall be capable of obtaining at least a Secret clearance prior to contract commencement. Period of Performance will be one (1) year with three (3) one-year options. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 541710. This solicitation is issued full and open competition. The NRL uses Electronic Commerce (EC) to issue RFPs and amendments to RFPs. The solicitation and any amendments to it will be available via the Internet at the URL address shown below. Paper copies of the RFP will not be provided. The proposed contract listed here is to be awarded under full and open competition. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The response date published in this synopsis is the current estimated date. The actual due date for proposals will be stated in the solicitation when issued. The principal place of performance is NRL, Washington D.C. NOTE: 26.
