Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the forbpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center intends to solicit Agfa Corpor ation, 100 Challenger Road, Ridgefield Park, NJ 07660-2199 to acquire digital radiography real time inspection system, amorphous Selenium Detector and a 14 in. x 17 in. workstation. The RADView Direct Radiography Image Detector is a patented technology th at uses an amorphous selenium-coated thin-film transistor (TFT) array to capture and convert x-ray energy directly into a digital signal. The DirectRay Detector is driven and operated by the RADView Acquisition Workstation. Agfa Corporation, the manufact urer of the required RADView, is being solicited pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(a)(1) (FAR Part 6.302-1). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; and a written solicitation will not be issued. Replacement parts are not available and the required digital radiography system must be compatible with existing system; i.e., high energy (9Mev, low energy (150Kv); and RADView workstation must be software comp atible. FAR Subpart 13.5 -- Purchase Orders -- applies. The application for this requirement is for non-destructive testing and inspection. On-site installation and training is requested. Solicitation will close on 26 Nov 2001. SEE Note 22. Delivery Term s: Delivery is FOB Destination, APG, MD. Delivery Schedule: Sixty (60) Days ARO.
