Description

The proposed contract action is for the following tactical communications equipment and associated items: Compact Digital Switch (CDS), GD part number (P/N) 02-2758810-1; five variations of the Switch Multiplexer Unit (SMU), GD P/Ns 03-2755652-1, 03-275852 9-1, 03-2758533-1, 03-2758537-1, and 03-2759270-1; the Army family of Line Termination Units (LTUs), CV-4180(V)1/T through (V)4/T and CV-4180A(V)1/T through 4180A(V)3/T, GD PNs SM-D-823020-1 through 5, SM-E-819294-1 and -2; the Transmission Interface Mod ule (TIM), MD-1270(P)/T, P/Ns 01-1402476-11 through 17, 19 and 20; and the Tactical Interface Adapter (TIA), P/Ns 02-2776329-1 and 2. This also includes any and all associated peripherals, cables and variable circuit card sets, which are associated w ith the above designated equipment. See Note 22. It is a sole source acquistion through negotiation with General Dynamics Communication Systems, Taunton, MA in accordance with 10 U.S.C 2304 (c)(1), Only One Responsible Source FAR 6.302-1(a)(2).Justificatio n and Authorization for Other than Full and Open Competition Control Number #01-1004 is on file at the Contracting Office.
