Description

US GOVERNMENT SEEKING EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR LAND OPTION IN BASTROP, LOUISIANA General Services Administration (GSA) is seeking expressions of interest from those desiring to grant the United States an assignable Option to Purchase a plot of land large enough to construct a 5,200 rentable square foot single story building with 30 surface parking spaces within the city limits of Bastrop, Louisiana. This option shall specify the purchase price of the land in the event of its exercise and shall be assignable by GSA to the successful offeror/contractor who shall construct on the land a Social Security facility for lease to the United States. There shall be no cost for and no price paid for the granting of the option itself, and its term shall be approximately 24 months. GSA shall, if it elects to proceed, select the site which in its estimation is the most advantageous to the Government, all factors considered. The following is a list of factors being considered: (1) Site shape and topography shall be conducive to building/parking design; (2) Site shall be outside the 100-year flood plain; (3) Access and traffic flow; (4) All utilities must be currently available to the offered site; (5) Site shall be environmentally clean; and (6) price of site. Fee title owners, or their duly authorized representatives are invited to submit expressions of interest, specifying the address and legal description of the property, and price, to Jim Langdon, General Services Administration, 819 Taylor Street, Room 12A26, Fort Worth, Texas 76102, Telephone 817-978-6146, by December 5, 2001.
