DoD EMALL will be hosting a Pre-Proposal Conference at the Naval Weapons Station, Charleston, SC on January 15,2002. The DoD EMALL is the Department of Defense's internet-based electronic catalog system. The Pre-Proposal Conference will be an informative one-day meeting for prospective suppliers. Some of the topics that will be discussed are: An overview of DoD EMALL (what it is, how it works, who uses it); the contracting process (how to get contracted to sell on the DoD EMALL, technical aspects of putting a catalog on the EMALL, how long it will take); and working with your Vendor Account Manager (VAM) (what to expect and how they will help). The DoD EMALL provides market space for spare parts and logistical support items traditionally procured and inventoried by the Department of Defense Inventory Control Points (ICP's) and contracted suppliers. Once a supplier has established a contract with their ICP, their catalog is posted on the DoD EMALL for ordering by Federal, Military and civilian customers.
