22 KIP 4 POST LOAD UNIT FOR AN EXISTING MTS DIGITAL CONROLLER, SERVOVALVE, AND EXSTENSOMETER. The solicitation number is F33601-02-T-0020. Place of Performance: Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. MTS 810 System, Model 311.21B-01, Specifications: Nominal dynamic load rating: +/-110,000 lbs (+/- 500 kN); Test space: Width -609.6 mm; Height -- 219.71 mm; Depth-304.8 mm. Base dimensions: Width 1061 mm; Depth -- 915 mm. Includes Crosshead mounted 22 Kip (100 kN) Actuator, 6.0"; Axial Load Cell; Hydraulic Lifts; Hydraulic Crosshead Locks; Emegency Stop and Hydraulic Lift/Lock Controls; Hydraulic Service Manifold; Crosshead for Actuator Mounting; Columns for Standard Test Space; High Response Servovalve; Hose Set; and Axial Stroke and Axial Load Calibration. Due to compatibility with the existing MTS equipment by AFIT, the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302.1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed source is MTS Systems Corporation. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement or submit quotations. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations received by 05 Dec 2001 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See Local Note H.
