Description

Scope of work includes but is not limited to: removal & disposal of two existing chillers along with cooling tower, compressor, condenser & related piping. Replace the removed chillers with two new air-cooled chillers in accordance with the specifications and drawings provided. Work to be accomplished during winter months so the system can be ready for the 2002, cooling season. Work to be accomplished at the Fed. Bldg/U.S. Cthse, 501 Belle St., Alton, Illinois. Contract completion is 100 calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed. This contract requires one lump sum offer. This procurement is open to all business concerns. The North American Industrial Classification System Code is 235950 with a size standard of $11.5 million. The estimated cost range is between $350,000 and $600,000. This is a negotiated, best value procurement. GSA, PBS, Property Management Division, Contract Support Services Branch, will no longer issue construction solicitations via the Federal Business Opportunities website http://www.fedbizopps.gov. All requests for a copy of the solicitation and drawings must be requested in writing. Any request for a copy of the documents must be made on the company's official letterhead, accompanied by an original signature. In order for the request to be valid, the requester must also provide one of the following documents:(1) Company's current business license;(2) a valid Dun and Bradstreet number, or (3) a valid state driver's license. No fax, telephonic, or e:mail requests will be honored. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. All solicitations will be stored on compact disc and mailed to the requestor upon receipt of required information. All requests must be submitted to: GSA,Attn: Debbie Ethell, 509 W. Offer due date and time for receipt of proposals will be January 4, 2002, at 3:00p.m.(central time).
