Description
Solicitation Number DACW41-02-B-0001 is revised as follows: The procurement is no longer set-aside for Small Business, it is an unrestricted procurement. The Issue Date shall be on or about 12 December 2001. The Pre-bid Conference date shall be indentifi ed in the issued CD Solicitaion. The Response Date shall be 29 January 2002. All interested parties shall and must register @ http://nwk-ebs.nwk.usace.army.mil/ebs/advertisedsolicitations.asp. It is strongly recommended interested parties view either htt p://cbdnet.gpo.gov or http://acquisition.army.mil to maintain knowledge of this procurement. The Description of Work is revised as follows: This work will consist of two phases of work. Phase I consists of about 16,000 linear feet of earthen levee. The le vee height varies up to approximately 25 feet. One stoplog gap will be constructed on driven H pilles. Total earthen fill is approximately 2,000,000 cubic yards with the borrow coming from adjacent borrow areas, offsite borrow and 1,400,000 cubic yards d redged from the Missouri River. In addtion, riprap, rockfill, bedding, aggregate surfacing, and geotextile fabric will be required as well as tree as tree and shrub plantings for a wildlife mitigation site. Utility relocations will be Contractor Design/Bui ld. Phase II consists of about 13,000 linear feet of earthen levee and about 1500 linear feet of concrete floodwall on driven pipe piles. Approximately 650,000 cubic yards of fill will be required to construct the earthen levee. Borrow will come from req uired excavation and offsite borrow. Three stoplogap structures and two rolling gates on driven H pile foundations will be included. One rolling gate auger cast piles and concrete piers will cross West Platte Road. There are 10 gatewell structures along with pipe for the outlet structures. Excavation will be rquired to realign Line Creek and to create a ponding area for the 75 CFS pump plant. Rockfill, riprap, seeding and mulching will be required. This may be a multiple or single award procurement. Ther e will be three bid schedules for this project. A bidder can bid Phase I, Phase II separately or a total bid for both phases combined. Any or all combinations can be bid. The bid will evaluated on the lowest of the Phase I bid added to the lowest of the Ph ase II bid coompared to the lowest bid for both phases. There may be two separate contracts awarded if the sum of Phase I and Phase II is less than the single bid for the combined Phase I and Phase II. The P.O.C. for registration issues is Lisa J.
