Description

The Department of Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, Mid-Pacific Regional Office has a requirement to complete land acquisition activities to permit the construction and operation of the Contra Costa Canal Intake Fish Screening Project. The following tasks are necessary to complete this requirement: complete an agreement between Reclamation and RD 799 to allow Reclamation access into RD 799 levees, obtain right-of-entry from up to 5 landowners and RD 799 to allow Reclamation access, determine ownership of all submerged lands adjacent to the Contra Costa Canal intake and obtain a submerged lands lease from the State Lands Commission, attend monthly project management conference calls and provide updates on the status of each task, prepare and process a Notice of Termination of temporary easements, obtain updated appraisals and hazardous material surveys (hazmat) of up to 5 parcels of land for the construction of a fish screen, acquire and properly record on the land titles the necessary easements and in-fee titles from up to 5 landowners for the construction of a fish screen, prepare land use agreements between Reclamation and up to 5 landowners to grant those landowners continued usage of the lands, and confirm right-of-way required to relocate Western Area Power Administration power line out of the fish screen construction zone. The estimated amount of this requirement is between $25,000 -- $100,000.
