Description

The US Army Research Laboratory, Weapons and Materials Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005, plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the purchase of a Dynamic Hardness Tester, consisting of a tester fabrication, load cell, charge amplifier, momentum trap, on-site assembly, labor, and 3-day on-site training, and one-time licensing fee. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). ARL intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the aut hority of FAR 6.302 with Michigal Technical University, Houghton, MI. Interested firms have 15 days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing via FAX 410-278-6522 to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. Suc h qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the 15 days or without the required information will be considered non-responsive to this synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
