Description

Project No. P.I.R. 119(1): The Bureau of Indian Affairs, Western Regional Office, seeks Indian-Owned Construction Firms which can provide all labor, materials, equipment ans services to grade, drain, aggregate base, hot asphalt concrete surfacing, final fog seal and pavement markings on 7.913 kilometers of Route 119, on the Tohono O'odham Nation, Pima county, Arizona. Estimated price range: $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. ISSUE DATE o/a 14 DEC 2001. OPENING DATE o/a 10 JAN 2002. This procurement will be set aside for Indian-owned and controlled firms under the "Buy Indian Act." 25 U.S.C. 47, Section 7(b) of P.L. 93-638 (25 U.S.C. 450e) requires that preference opportunities in employment and training be given to Indian/Alaskan Native individuals and that preference in award of subcontracts be given to Indian/Alaskan Native economic enterprises.
