Description

The Maintenance and Logistics Command Pacific, Naval Engineering Division intends to contract for a indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract for overhaul of Controllable Pitch Propeller (CPP) Hub Assembly for the U.S. Coast Guard POLAR CLASS Icebreakers. The contract will be for one (1) base year and four (4) option years. This work is to be accomplished at the Contractor's facility. The solicitation will be issued on or about 19 December 2001, with a proposal closing date of on or about 23 January 2002. Period of performance will commence 01 May 2002 and conclude 30 April 2003 for the base year. If all options are exercised, the period of performance will conclude 30 April 2007. This is an unrestricted best value procurement. For Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts, loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rate to provide accounts receivable financing.
