Description

NASA/ARC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for one (1) CoreFire(TM) Design Suite software. This compiler software suite will be used for programming gate array (FPGA) microchips. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/ARC intends to purchase the items from Annapolis MicroSystems, Inc., Annapolis, MD 21401. The CoreFire(TM) suite software includes an application builder, application debugger, libraries, and a single user node locked. The CoreFire(TM) suite software is designed specifically to interface with the Annapolis MicroSystems Firebird boards currently being used. The authority is only one source, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 3:00 p.m. local time on November 29, 2001. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
