Description

NASA/Glenn Research Center plans to issue a Request For Offer(RFO)for the remediation of mercury at building 16 at GRC. Work included in this effort primarily includes remediation of superficial mercury contamination including transportation and disposal of the contaminants. Additional abatement of asbestos containing materials and lead based paint will also be required. The order of magnitude for the procurement is $500K -- $1M and the effort shall be completed within 270 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is a total 8(a) setaside. The NAICS Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 562910 and 500 employees, respectively. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about November 28, 2001 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about December 28, 2001. The provisions and clauses in the solicitation are those in effect through FAC 2001-1. The firm date for receipt of offers will be stated in the RFO. Drawings will be available from a local printer identified in the RFO. All responsible qualified sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement [with the exception of drawings]will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
