Description
The U.S. Army Signal Command has a requirement for nonpersonal services for local telephone exchange services for Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia. The proposed contract is for a base year with four one-year options. The local exchange services provider, certified by the state of Georgia, shall provide local commercial communications service for Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield which shall include, as a minimum but not limited to, local access for commercial subscriber lines, local exchange access analog trunks, local exchange digital (ISDN PRI) trunks, analog FX trunks, data point-to-point circuits, and directory number and number portability. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered. Sources responding to this requirement must indicate in writing, whether they are a large, small, disadvantaged and /or women-owned business. For this acquisition, a concern will be considered small under SIC code 4813 with size standard of 1500 employees NAICS 51331 and 51333. This requirement shall be a commercial, fixed price type contract. Solicitation is anticipated to be released on or about 16 Nov 01. The Government will conduct a preproposal conference and site visit on 04 Dec 01 at the Fort Stewart DOIM, building #3, 87 Maynard Road, Fort Stewart, Georgia. The conference will be from 9:00-10:30 (approximately) and will be followed by a site visit from 10:30 12:00 noon. Offerors planning to attend are required to notify the specialist listed below, in writing, of all attendees' names (not to exceed three per company) prior to 26 Nov 01. An e-mail response to the specialist listed below is acceptable. Questions received prior to the conference must be received before 26 Nov 01. Questions generated as a result of the preproposal conference must be received before 12 Dec 01. Written responses to offeror-generated questions will be provided to all Offerors.
