Description
The 2002 Munitions Executive Summit and Advance Planning Briefing for Industry, sponsored by the National Defense Industrial Association, is planned for Feb. 13-14, 2002 at the Marriott Pavilion Hotel in St. Louis, MO. If your responsibilities include or are influenced by the development, testing, production or use of munitions, this annual conference is a must-attend! The dynamics among conventional and precision munitions; the commercial and government base and the current and future needs require a forum to discuss not only where we in the munitions community are but where we must be and how to get there. Funds continue to flow for transformation within the services, but at what cost to readiness? Are we organized to effectively support the requirements of the end user? This conference will include presentations and panel discussions from service, industry and congressional leaders. It will focus on the QDR and its implications for munitions, plans for future munitions systems, quality needs and capabilities of current production and the changing composition of the existing production base. This last factor will be looked at from a number of perspectives including current members and the investment community. This comprehensive meeting will be followed by the Operations Support Command?s (OSC) Advance Planning Briefing for Industry (APBI), held Thursday afternoon, Feb. 14. Together, this two-day event will provide the opportunity to meet with industry and government leaders who care about and are involved with the challenges of munitions now and into the future. Registration for the Summit will begin the evening of Tuesday, Feb. 12, and the Summit will begin Wednesday morning, Feb. 13. Registration for this event is offered online at the web site below. More information can also be found at this web site, where you may also add your name to the mailing list for further information about this event.
