Description

NASA/KSC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for 1 Control Center 10- Pack, Node Locked License; P/N 104-055-000 and 1 Premium Support- Control Center Node Locked- (10 licenses/ 1 year). This acquisition will provide software, and support for the Checkout and Launch Control System (CLCS) Modernization at Kennedy Space Center (KSC). This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/KSC intends to purchase the items from TogetherSoft 920 Main Campus Dr. Suite 410 Raleigh, NC 27606, on a sole source basis. The items required are available only from the original source as this is a follow on contract for highly specialized equipment for the Checkout and Launch Control System (CLCS) Modernization and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements in accordance to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested firms having the capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements are requested to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, the appropriate documentation, literature, brochures, and references. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the time stated below, with or without the required information, will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is for planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. All responses shall be submitted to Sean Howe no later than 2pm EST on November 16th, 2001.
