Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented, with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Written quotations will not be issued and each contractor is expected to respond on his/her letterhead with all required product information. RFQ 621-02-5984-0004 is hereby assigned to this procurement and shall be referenced on all correspondence relating to this acquisition. This RFQ is issued using Simplified Acquisition Procedures and incorporates all provisions and clauses as those in effect through FAC 97-27 and VAAR 97-1. The James H. Quillen VAMC, Mountain Home, TN 37684 has a requirement to purchase one (1) H44-220 LEICA ST5010, Automatic slide stainer for histopathology; up to 200 slides per hour through put; Programmable with up to 15 separate staining procedures with up to 25 steps per program; Integrated drying oven; Built-in fume extraction with air fan and charcoal filter; 90-125 VAC/Amps, 49-61 Hz; Includes 5 staining racks, each with 30 slide capacity; 18 reagent containers; 5 wash containers with flow control valves, inlet and drain hoses; Includes reference manual and Instruction Manual, LEICA P/N 14045625638 or Equal and one (1) H44-316 LEICA CV5000 Automatic Cover Slipping Instrument; Cover slips up to 400 microscope slides per hour with 50 or 60 mm glass cover slips; will accept histological sections and smears; Enclosed system with fume filtering through charcoal; Accepts slide racks from Jung Autostainer XL; 95-115 Volts 60 Hz; LEICA P/N 14046427778 or Equal. The delivery date will be no later than 45 days after award of a contract. Contract award is subject to the availability of funds.
