Description

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) is currently planning award of a sole source fixed price contract to Trimble Navigation Limited, 645 North Mary Avenue, Sunnyvale CA 94086, for the procurement of approximately sixty (60) GPS VME Receiver Cards (GVRC). Trimble is the current manufacturer and sole supplier of GVRC for Navigation Sensor Systems Interface. The award is planned as a last time end-of-life buy with an anticipated delivery date of June 2002. The GVRC must adhere to performance specification CI-GVRC-300 and interface control document ICD-GPS-156. Due to the fact that there is no off-the-shelf upgrade path for GVRC, this procurement is intended to satisfy existing shipboard GPS requirements until the development and integration of the next generation GPS card can be funded and approved.
