Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) intends to negotiate with Rolls-Royce Plc., Bristol, England, for the purchase of one each 408B Retrofit Installation Kit without cold nozzle, Rolls Royce part number B505125 and three each Fly Lead Kits, Rolls Royce part number MSP3757 for the F402-RR-408B engine used on the AV-8 Harrier Aircraft. NAVAIR anticipates award on a sole source basis to Rolls Royce, Bristol England, as an order against an established Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA). Rolls Royce is the sole developer and manufacturer of the F402 engine and maintains proprietary data rights to the engine. Accordingly, Rolls Royce is the only contractor with the requisite knowledge and expertise to provide this item. See Note 22.
