Description

The work to be performed consists of providing all labor, materials, and equipment to support the security standards required by the Department of Interior, Bureau of Reclamation or other designated government authority for security threat levels. The contract intends to utilize armed guard service personnel. The security assignment is located at Twin Lakes Dam, Mt Elbert Power/Pump Plant, Mt Elbert Forebay Dam, Sugar Loaf Dam and Leadville Treatment Plant. The facilities are located in Lake County, approximately 17 miles southwest of Leadville, Colorado, and approximately 25 miles northwest of Buena Vista, Colorado. All security work and support shall be performed by a "qualified security contractor" who regularly engages in such work and is recognized or accredited in the security profession. This requirement may be satisfied by submitting proof or national recognition or Government Services Administration (GSA) approval. The work area is located at the Bureau of Reclamation, Mt Elbert Field Office. The estimated price range of the work is $250,000 to $500,000. The Request For Quotes (RFQ) will be made available on or around November 30, 2001, and quotes are due in the office of the Bureau of Reclamation, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, MT 59101 on or before Close of Business (COB) December 17, 2001. All reasonable sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. This is a total Small Business Set-Aside. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 7381. The North American Industry Classification System code is 561612. The Small Business Size Standard is $9.0 million.
