Description

Solicitation Notice: The Federal Bureau of Prisons; Northeast Regional Contracting Office, c/o FCI Otisville, NY is soliciting for Psychiatrist Services for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) -- Otisville, NY. The services required are estimated at once per week for four hours, during a normal workday (7:30a to 4:00p). The Contractor must be a graduate of an accredited school of medicine as determined by the Council on Education of the American Mental Health Association and be registered as a Psychiatrist by the New York State Department of Education. The services are to be provided in accordance with Federal laws, and are to be performed at the Health Services Unit of the FCI. The Contractor will provide psychiatric consultations to group and individual inmates, provide psychiatric evaluation and treatment of confined persons and provide forensic services as required. The Health Services Unit will provide all equipment/supplies to perform these services, and all reports will remain property of the FCI.. The services will be performed inside the secure perimeter of the Federal Correctional Institution. The performance period will be the base year and the possibility of four option years. This is a small business set-aside, restricted to small businesses eligible to receive award. A security investigation/clearance is required. The solicitation will be available on or after November 19, 2001, and will be distributed through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available except in extreme circumstances AND only if issuance in this manner is determined to be in the Government's best interest.
