Description
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS, Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) requires a contract for a guaranteed 300,000 trimedlure plugs and 120,000 trimedlure baskets. The contract will be effective for the period from date of award through September 30, 2002, and contain 2, 1-year renewal options to extend the effective period. The same quantities are estimated for purchase in each of the 2 option years. The base year and option years will include optional separately priced line items for the purchase of additional quantities as follows if required: Trimedlure Plugs -- 50,000 to 100,000 Each; Trimedlure Baskets -- 20,000 to 40,000 Each. Delivery shall be f.o.b. Destination to Edinburgh, Texas. PPQ will provide the Contractor with liquid trimedlure for use in the production of the plugs and baskets. Award is subject to First Article Approval -- Government Testing, and inspection and acceptance testing at destination. First article samples and production quantities shall be produced at the same facility. A single award is anticipated, however, the Government reserves the right to award more than one contract to acquire the total guaranteed quantity. This acquisition is a 100% small business set aside. NAICS Code: 325414; Size Standard: 500 employees. The Solicitation is scheduled to be released on or about November 20, 2001. Award of firm fixed-price contract is anticipated. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered.
