Description

The United States Coast Guard, Civil Engineering Unit Juneau intends to award a sole source purchase order contract to the City of St. Paul, Alaska for the commercial item acquisition for the installation of the following work at USCG LORAN Station, St. Paul, Alaska. The vendor shall provide a new electrical service to include: conduit, wiring, transformer vault, 500 KVA, 3 phase, 480/277V Transformer, meter base, meter cabinet and meter and all other materials and labor required for a complete and operational power service from the city utility to the Coast Guard power plant. This work must be completed prior to the Government?s conversion to commercial power in the spring/summer of 2002 and will reduce the Coast Guard?s dependence on generator power. The anticipated award date is November 16, 2001. This notice is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation of offers. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
