Description
DESC: This is a 5-year Requirements contract for the Outlet Valve Cover, NSN: 4240-01-260-8699, P/N: 5-1-1009; the Inlet Disk Valve, NSN: 4240-01-260-8710, P/N: 5-1-1055; Drink Tube Internal, NSN: 4240-01-260-8711, P/N: 5-1-1085 and Drink Tube, NSN: 4240-01-441-0557, P/N: 5-1-2959. This contract will be 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The maximum estimated quantity is 145,000 for the Cover Outlet Valve, 95,000 for the Disk Valve Inlet, 95,000 for the Drink Tube and 95,000 for the Drink Tube. The Cover Outlet Valve is molded from block silicone rubber, approximate size 1.53 inches wide by 3 inches long and complex shape with holes and fold overs; the Inlet Disk Valve is approximately 1.23 inches outside diameter by .11 inches thick with a .095 inch center hole, made from a silicone rubber per PD-EA-R-1378; the Drink Tube Internal is a one piece molded silicone rubber tube approximately 2.2 inches long with a .28 outside diameter and the Drink Tube is a molded part constructed from black silicone rubber with a nominal outside diameter of .28 inches and inside diameter opening of .12 inches. The Drink Tube is "Z" shaped having two bends and when measured along its contour, the tube is approximately 2 inches in length. One end of the tube has three barbs, each measuring .12 inches long, which when cut at the base of a given barb allows the user to adjust the tube length to fit the user's lips. FOB is Destination. Estimated issue date is December 7, 2001. First article is required. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(2)(7) and 14.205-1(c) therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: http://aais.ria.army.mil. CAUTION: The solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain and said amendments, which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for the bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
