Description

The Office of Naval Research (ONR) has a requirement to obtain technical support over the telephone for Microsoft?s entire product line, specifically Windows 2000. ONR requires immediate technical support twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week to facilitate smooth migrations into new products/versions, product support, troubleshooting, and hot-fix issues. ONR will require up to two hundred (200) hours of technical support for a (1) one year period. The contractor will not be on-site at ONR. All technical support will be performed over the telephone. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only (1) source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities or submit proposals. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received by 23 November 2001. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The period of performance is for one (1) year.
