Description

This project will consist of 3.6 miles road construction, 2.8 miles of road obliteration, and the replacement of the Sixth Water Bridge. Road constuction includes clearing and grubbing; excavation and embankment; furnishing and placing corrugated metal pipe cross drainage structures, a crushed aggregate surface course, and seedling, Road obliteration includes removal of disposal of existing cross drainage structures, full re-contouring of existing road alighment; seeding; and furnishing and installing barrier structures and fence to protect obliterated road sections during rehabilitation. Bridge replacement inlcudes removal and disposal of existing single lane treated timber bridge and footings; furnishing and installing cast-in-place concrete wingwalls and abutments, new percast concrete bridge, galvanized steel railing, and bituminous wear surface on bridge deck and approaches. There are potiential for implementation of other alternatives to the above description of work and these will be discussed. Plans and specifications will not be available under February of 2002. Proposed construction period is Spring 2002 through Fall 2002. Estimated range is $1 million to $5 million. This announcement is for the show-me trip scheduled before the project is snowed out. THe show-me trip is scheduled for November 19, 2001. Meet at 0900 am on Sheep Creek Ran's Valley Road, Milepost 16.9. I-15 to exit 261 (Price/Manti exist in Spanish Fork, Ut),then east on US Highway 6 approximate 25 miles, then left (north) ont he Sheep Creek -- Ray's Valley Road, 16.9 miles to the end of the gravelled road section.
