Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia intends to solicit engineering and technical services to support the Survivability Program. The contractor shall furnish engineering, technical analysis, and support services for DDG-51 Flight IIA, Crusier Upgrade and other Surface Combatant ships and program initiatives. Contractor shall perform survivability assessments of new ship designs/upgrades and shipboard equipments as well as provide program support related to Live Fire Test & Evaluation. Contractor shall also provide evaluation of SMART ship initiatives/enhancements, provide programming support for the adaption of Machinery Control System to new ship acquisition and enhancement programs and provide engineering support in the development of automatic/autonomic control algorithms to support creation and implementation of survivable, self-healing, reconf igurable shipboard systems. Provide engineering support for the development and testing of Autonomous Agent Technology for improved survivability. This shall be solicited on a competitive basis as a 100% Small Business Set Aside. The government intends to award an Indefinite Quantity, Indefinite Delivery Cost Plus Fixed Fee type contract with a level of effort of 146,350 labor hours. The period of performance is 60 months.
