Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking Architectural/Engineering Firms to submit Standard Form (SF) 254's and 255's for Multi-Discipline A/E (two firms will be selected) and Mechanical or Mechanical/EE (one firm only) for the Consolidated Contracting Activity, VA Central California Health Care System (VACCHCS) 2615 East Clinton Avenue, Fresno, CA 93703-2286 for Open/Ended services. Firms responding to this announcement before the closing date (December 15, 2001) will be considered for selection, subject to any limitations indicated with respect to the size and geographic location of (the) firm. This procurement is restricted to firms geographically located within a 65 mile radius of VACCHCS. Selection of firms for interviews and negotiations shall be through an order of preference based on demonstrated competence and qualifications necessary for the satisfactory performance of the type of professional services required, that include (1) past performance capabilities; (2) specialized experience and technical competence, as required; (3) capacity to accomplish the work in the required time; (4) past performance on contracts with respect to cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules; (5) geographical location and knowledge of the locality of the project, provided that application of the criterion leaves an appropriate number of qualified firms, given the nature and size of the project; (6) any other special qualification required under this announcement by the contracting activity. Firms that meet the requirements described in this announcement are invited to submit SF's 254 and 255 by close of business (3:30 PM) December 15, 2001 to VA Central California Health Care System, Attention Jeffrey Barnes, Contracting Officer 90C/CCA, 2615 East Clinton Avenue, Fresno, CA 93703-2524, telephone (559) 228-5390, fax (559) 228-6912. It is the intent of the Contracting Officer to issue a total of three Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract awards under this procurement.
