Description

IRS 5 meter imagery panchromatic or panchromatic/color merge digital imagery covering the Southern Sierra section of California. The 9.6 million acre project area is covered by approximately 15-18 IRS image scenes within Inyo, Kern, Tulare, Fresno, Madera, Mariposa, and Mono counties. The delivered imagery shall georeferenced, and orthorectified and have at least 25 meter positional accuracy. Tonal balancing will not be required between scenes. The imagery shall be cloud free summer imagery from 2001, June, July, or August. Image format shall be geotif in UTM Zone 11 projection, NAD 27 datum. Prospective vendors shall provide quotes as two separate options, listing the panchromatic only imagery as option 1 and the panchromatic/color merge imagery as option 2. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. RFQ R5-02-20-005. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotations. Upon award, the Government will provide digital ARCINFO coverages illustrating the entire project area that will be used as an aid for scene selection. Questions concerning acceptable levels of cloud cover and exact scene dates will be resolved following contract award. Imagery shall be delivered to Sacramento, CA by February 15, 2002. FOB point may be origin. All Provisions, Clauses and statutes or Executive orders for the acquisition of commercial items are applicable to this request. Quotes will be accepted until COB 121201.
