Description

The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), intends to negotiate solely with Qualicon, Inc. in Wilmington, Delaware, to furnish and deliver (F.O.B. Destination) to the USDA, ARS, Eastern Regional Research Center, in Wyndmoor, (Philadelphia), PA, for Ribotyping Batch Kits. These kits are used to determine molecular subtypes of listeria obtained as part of a large study to determine prevalence molecular epidemiology of hot dog isolates and must be compatible with the Qualicon RiboPrinter System. The total number of kits may include any combinations of the following: 1) EcoR1 Batch Kit which include DNA Preparation Pack, gel Cassette, Membrane, MP Base Pack, MP Conjugate, MP Probe, MP Substrate, Purified Water, Lysing Agents, Lactic Agent, DNA Prep Enzyme (6 batches, 48 test); or 2) PstI Batch Kit which includes DNA Preparation Pack, gel Cassette, Membrane, MP Base Pack, MP Conjugate, MP Probe, MP Substrate, Purified Water, Lysing Agents, and a DNA Prep Enzyme (6 batches, 48 test); or 3) PvuII Batch Kit which includes DNA Preparation Pack, Gel Cassette, Membrane, MP Base Pack, MP Conjugate, MP Probe, MP Substrate, Purified Water. Lysing Agents, Lactic Agent, DNA Prep Enzyme (6 batches, 48 test). These kits must be compatible with a Qualicon RiboPrinter System and include a standard commercial warranty . The kits shall be delivered within five (5) days after scheduled and mutually agreed by both parties. Any amendments related to this procurement will be available electronically at the Internet site http://www.eps.gov. It is the offerors responsibility to monitor the site for release of these amendments. Companies with the demonstrated capability and financial capacity to provide and service such equipment must submit a written substantive statement outlining the Company's and systems' capabilities to the Contracting Officer within 10 days of publication of this notice. This is not a request for proposal. No solicitation is available.
