Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Ocean Service (NOS), Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary (FKNMS), Marathon, Florida, intends to procure maintenance mechanic services. The contractor will assist in maintenance of two 82' law enforcement vessels in the Lower Keys. Including repair and service and maintenance of diesel engines, woodwork, fiberglass and metal. The contractor will assist in the maintenance of two 41' vessels in the Lower Keys. One vessel is used for law enforcement, the other is for research trips. The contractor will assist in the maintenance of the Rachel Carson vessel used for mooring buoy maintenance and installation. This will include repairs, service, and maintenance of diesel engines, woodwork, fiberglass, and metal. The contractor will assist in the maintenance of Team OCEAN program vessels and law enforcement vessels located in the Lower Keys. This will include repairs service and maintenance of outboard engines, vessel woodwork, fiberglass, metal, and trailers. The contractor will assist in maintenance of NOAA owned vehicles in the lower Keys. This request for quotation (RFQ) will be issued on or about November 13, 2001. This procurement is set-aside for small businesses. The NAICS code is 811490. The small business size standard is $5,000,000.00. This purchase will be made under the guidelines of FAR, Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures.
