Description

The work consists of the folllowing: Bid Item 1: 102 acres of even-aged hardwood site preparation, 147 acres of uneven-aged management (UAM) hardwood site preparation and timber stand improvement, 32 acres of even-aged management pine or pine/hardwood site preparation, 101 acres of pine or pine/hardwood seedling release, 51 acres of hardwood or hardwood/pine release, using chemical injectors and/or saws at the Sylamore Ranger District from approximately December 10, 2001 through February 21, 2002; Bid Item 2: 25 acres of uneven-aged management hardwood handplanting and 102 acres of even-aged hardwood handplanting, using power augers at the Sylamore Ranger District, from approximately March 1-28, 2002 ; Bid Item 3: 32 acres hand planting of pine seedlings using handtools at the Sylamore Ranger District, from approximately February 1-8, 2002; Bid Item 4: 229 acres of precommercial thinning and release of pine and hardwood areas, using saws at the Sylamore Ranger District, from approximately April 15, 2002 through May 22, 2002; Bid Item #5: 102 acres of uneven-aged management hardwood site preparation & TSI using saws and chemical injectors at the St. Francis Ranger District, from approximately February 4-25, 2002; Bid Item 6: 9 acres of uneven-aged management hardwood handplanting using power augers at the St. Francis Ranger District, from approximately March 1-4, 2002; Bid Item 7: 185 acres of precommercial thinning of even-aged hardwood stands, and 17 acres of uneven-aged management hardwood site preparation & TSI using saws at the St. Francis Ranger District, from approximately April 1, 2002 through May 2, 2002. Successful contractor must possess a current applicator's license. This project is set aside for small business concerns.
