Description

Army Residential Communities Initiative (RCI) Industry Forum near San Francisco, California December 4, 2001. The Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Installations and Environment will host an RCI Industry Forum on December 4, 2001 near San Francisco, California. The Forum will focus on The Army's Request for Qualifications (RFQ), which includes two RCI projects, one project at the Presidio of Monterey (POM) and the second project includes Fort Irwin, Moffett Federal Airfield and Parks Reserve Forces Training Area (RFTA), California. This event will give an overview of the RCI program, objectives and business opportunities, an outline of the two-step request for qualifications (RFQ) process, and presentations of the proposed Army installations. There will also be a panel session to address questions and concerns. The RCI Program Office will release a draft RFQ on or about November 28, 2001 and will release the final RFQ on or about December 11, 2001. The RFQ will be available on the RCI Web Page at http://rci.army.mil. The Industry Forum will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, which is 5 minutes from the San Francisco International Airport. The Hyatt Regency Hotel address is 1333 BayShore Highway, Burlingame, California 94010. To confirm room reservations at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, please call (650) 347-1234 or Fax (650) 696-2669. Identify yourself as an Army RCI Industry Forum attendee. The Hyatt Regency Hotel provides free shuttle service to and from the airport. The registration fee to attend this Forum is $125.00 per attendee. Registration will be provided by the Military Housing and Lodging Institute (MHLI) at http://www.mhli.org and the Professional Housing Management Association (PHMA) at http://www.phma.com, or by contacting MHLI/PHMA at (703) 327-6873 and fax your registration form to (703) 327-4005. MHLI/PHMA will send a confirmation approximately three days after you email or fax your registration. Attendees are advised to register by November 29, 2001. You may also register on-line at the Army's RCI web page at http://www.rci.army.mil. Conference materials, continental breakfast and light snacks will be available at the Forum. Pre-registration will be available at the Hyatt Regency on December 3rd from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Final registration will be available on December 4th from 7:00 a.m. to 7:50 a.m. The Forum program will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. and will end promptly at 1:00 p.m. Prospective developers interested in pursuing Army RCI opportunities who wish to visit any of the Army installations are advised that high security measures are in effect, therefore, entry into these Army installations may be restricted unless prior coordination is made with the on-site RCI office. Therefore, to prevent any inconvenience, one-day tours have been arranged to each of the RCI sites.
